King Charles Is Diagnosed With Cancer

According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles III has been diagnosed with a type of cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.

King’s coronation draws apathy, criticism in former colonies

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the palace said in a statement, adding that he had begun treatment.

The king “remains wholly positive” and “looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible”, it said.

Earlier this week, Prince William resumed his royal duties after taking a break after his wife underwent stomach surgery, Kensington Palace announced on Monday.

Following his wife Catherine’s hospital admission on January 16, 41-year-old William, the eldest son of King Charles III and heir to the throne, canceled official appearances to take care of his wife and their three children.

William will attend the annual fundraising gala for London Air Ambulance in central London on Wednesday evening and perform an investiture at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, according to the palace.

In January, the Princess of Wales was recovering from stomach surgery, and Charles was scheduled to receive treatment for an enlarged prostate. This presented a double health crisis for the British royal family. On January 29, the King was released from the hospital, three days after his operation, and only a few hours after Kensington Palace declared that the 42-year-old princess had also been discharged from the medical facility.

The 76-year-old Queen Camilla was the most well-known public face of the monarchy during her husband’s absence, which led to a personnel shortfall within the trimmed-down monarchy.

Media reports indicate that Charles’ recovery would extend until the end of February, while Kate’s absence is anticipated to stay at least until March 31.

The King received praise for being forthright about his illness. Kate was admitted to the hospital without explanation, but officials claimed there was no connection to cancer.

We hope and pray king Charles recovers from this soon.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
