‘ Kissing’ Anglican Priest Finally Breaks Silence On Viral Video

The Ghanaian Anglican priest whose video went viral for kissing three female students from the St. Monica College of Education in Asante Mampong, Kumasi, has broken his silence on the story.

Rev. Fr Baltharzzar Obeng Larbi who was at the center of this controversy has apologized to the general public for his actions.

According to him, he should have known better that COVID-19 was still in the system and as such had to be very careful. He continued that he had taken a lot of things for granted and that has resulted in what the whole public has seen.

Read his statement below:

Recall that few hours after the video of Fr. Balthazar Obeng, kissing the 3 students went viral, a student who prefers to be anonymous exposes the rot of the Priest, she says “this is not the first time he’s doing it”.

According to the source, Fr. Larbi, is not new to doing things like this in the presence of the students or congregation, kissing is the least thing he has done.

According to the student, the Anglican priest in question has been doing other things with some students in the school. She revealed that there was this one time he asked a female mass server to sit on his lap which she refused and he hated her from that day.

This could be the reason the third lady in the video who seemed unwilling to kiss him eventually gave in to the deed.

Before Father Balthazar Obeng’s apology, the Anglican Church of Ghana had already expressed its dissatisfaction about the matter and has initiated internal investigations. Fr. Larbi has been relieved of his duties at the St Monica’s College of Education.

We hope he truly changes from such a disgusting act.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
