Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has reacted to Pep Guardiola’s statement that everyone in England wants Liverpool to win the Premier League this season.

Guardiola claimed during his post-match news conference after Man City’s 5-0 demolition of Newcastle United on Sunday that his squad did not receive as much media backing as Klopp’s side.

In response to Guardiola’s claim, Klopp stated that this is not the case.

The German also made fun of Man City’s UEFA Champions League loss at the hands of Real Madrid, as Liverpool went to the final.

Klopp, during his pre-match press conference on Monday, ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League encounter against Aston Villa on Tuesday at Villa Park, said, “I don’t know how Pep, after getting knocked out of CL and of course LFC made it to the final, we played Villarreal, they played Real Madrid.

“I have no idea if the whole country is supporting us. Maybe he knows more than me.”
