Kuje Attack: Soldiers In Charge Of Prison Were Allegedly Transferred 24 Hours To Attack

According to security sources, 24 hours before terrorists stormed Kuje Prison, soldiers who had been stationed in the area around Kuje and the Correctional Center and were familiar with the terrain were allegedly transferred and new ones deployed.

The source questioned why the terrorist attack occurred 24 hours after troops who had become accustomed to the area were evacuated and new ones who had not yet settled in arrived.

However, according to Vanguard, information is that the soldiers’ assigned time in that deployment had ended and they needed to be rotated.

Security sources have said that the terrorists used motorcycles to get by security checks set up by the authorities.

According to one report, when the terrorists decided to start the operation, they randomly fired volleys of bullets, which caused many locals to flee, opening the way for the terrorists to carry out their plan.

A total of 879 prisoners are said to have escaped during the attack, however, 443 of them have reportedly been apprehended.
