Labour Party Woman Leader Assassinated In Kaduna

Victoria Chintex, the woman leader of the Labour Party in Kaura, Kaduna State, was fatally shot by suspected assassins on Monday.

Her husband also reportedly suffered bullet wounds to the leg when the attackers broke into her home on Monday night and shot her dead.

Edward Simon Buju, the Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Zone 3, Kaduna State, confirmed the incident on Tuesday.

He described the late women leader as a dynamic, hardworking, and dedicated woman who passed away just when the party and the nation needed her most.

Buju called on the Nigerian police to look into her sudden death and hold the perpetrators accountable while urging the residents of Kaura Local Government and the party faithful to uphold the law.

Meanwhile, the state police authorities are yet to provide a statement regarding the incident.
