Lagos Taskforce Arrests 30 Suspected Criminals In Agege

The Lagos State Taskforce has apprehended 30 suspected criminals during a cleanup operation conducted in Agege.

The late-night raid, which commenced around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, focused on areas known for criminal activities, such as Isale Oja, the railway line, and AP Junction.

According to a post by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, all suspects will face legal proceedings in court.

He noted that the operation is part of a continuous effort to eliminate criminal elements from the state and maintain public order.

“In continuation of the Lagos State Taskforce Clean-Up enforcement operation to rid the state of criminal elements, the agency set out at about 2200hrs on Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 and embarked on its ongoing cleanup enforcement operation,” the statement read.

“The areas visited during the operation include Isale Oja, the railway line, and AP Junction in the Agege area, where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed, particularly on the rail track. During the raid, a total of 30 suspects were arrested and sanity was restored. All suspects will be charged to court accordingly.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
