Liberian President Joins ‘Buga Challenge’

Liberia President, George Weah had supporters cheering loudly when he showcased his dancing skills during a rally over the weekend. The former AC Milan striker took supporters by surprise when he stepped up to join the “Buga Challenge” made popular by Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel.

The 1995 Ballon d’Or winner took to the dancefloor with some of his CDC chieftains as supporters clapped and cheered him on as he appeared to be having fun.

George Weah is regarded as one of the greatest African players of all time and in 1995, he was named FIFA World Player of the Year and won the Ballon d’Or, becoming the first and to date only African player to win these awards. The former Liberian captain as he played for some of the best clubs in Europe, including AC Milan, Monaco, and Manchester City, during his active days. The 55-year-old was voted as Liberia’s president in 2018 after joining politics after retiring from football.
