Liverpool Agrees Deal For New Manager

There has been an oral agreement between Feyenoord and Liverpool for Arne Slot, a Dutch manager, to succeed Jurgen Klopp at the beginning of the following campaign.

Before the transaction was finalised in the evening on Friday, the two clubs were on the verge of reaching an agreement and that deal, which may total up to £9.42 million.

It is anticipated that head of performance Ruben Peeters and Slot’s right-hand man Sipke Hulshoff will also be joining the deal.

Etienne Reijnen, an analyst, is also coming to the Merseyside Club.

Slot currently has just four games left to complete his tenure as Liverpool’s manager after Klopp publicly praised the German coach on Friday as a “good coach and good guy.”

After their initial £7.7 million offer was turned down, the Merseyside club continued talks on Friday and ultimately came to an agreement that is thought to be worth approximately £9.4 million with add-ons.

“I like the way his team plays football, definitely,” he said.

“All the things I hear about him – some people I know, know him, I don’t know him yet – but some people tell me that he’s a really good guy, and I like that a lot.

“So, good coach, good guy, looking forward with the club.

“If he’s the solution or the man, then I’m more than happy.

“It’s not up to me to judge these things but it all sounds really good to me.

“It’s the best job in the world, the best club in the world.

‘Obviously, now, I help even by not finishing on a high – it looks like – so there’s space for improvement.

“It’s a great job, fantastic people. He would take a really interesting job.”
