A man who said that many men do not marry the women they genuinely want has sparked intense discussion.
In his words, “80% of men do not marry women that they like. They marry women that can hold them down.”
He went on to explain that although a man may find a particular woman attractive or admirable, he usually selects a different woman with the traits or personality he believes will maintain the stability of his household when it comes to marriage.
He claims that this is one of the causes of the increased number of divorce cases.
He maintained that it becomes simple for a guy to leave a woman when the “character” or qualities that initially persuaded him to do so alter.
However, it wouldn’t be that simple to simply sign divorce papers if he had married someone he genuinely liked.
Whether he is right depends on various factors and individual experiences. Some reasons why men might not marry women they like include societal pressures, financial concerns, fear of commitment, or differing life goals. Conversely, others may prioritize emotional connections and choose to marry someone they love.
Ultimately, people’s decisions about marriage are influenced by personal circumstances, cultural norms, and values, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It’s a complex topic that often sparks ongoing debate.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
