Man Arrested For Sodomising Underage Boy In Rivers

Chigozie Okpara, a suspected homosexual, was arrested for reportedly having carnal knowledge of an underage child in the Okujagu village of Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

On Sunday night, March 31, 2024, members of a local vigilante organisation detained the suspect for allegedly having sexual contact with an underage boy.

A resident of the area told Punch that the man, who is in his 40s, claimed to work for a security company in Port Harcourt and would generally lure his unsuspecting victims inside his home with food and snacks before defiling them.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that during the vigilante’s interrogation, the man confessed to being a homosexual and that he had committed the deed when residing in Lagos State before moving to Port Harcourt two years ago.

According to reports, he ran out of luck while making love with one of his victims, who was screaming in his chamber, and the disturbance drew the attention of nearby residents, who notified the vigilante group.

“He lured the boy into his house and was doing the thing and the boy was screaming,” the source said.

“So that was how they called our (vigilante) attention, and we went there and broke into the house and saw them (the man and his victim).

“That night, we took him and handed him over to the police. He is in police custody now.”

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesman for the state police command, confirmed the occurrence on Monday and stated that the suspect, who is already in jail, will be prosecuted.

“Yes, I can confirm the incident. The suspect has been arrested and is presently in our custody. Investigation is ongoing. The matter has been transferred to the State Criminal and Intelligence Department. We will ensure that the suspect is prosecuted,” the PPRO said.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
