Man Detained Over Alleged Murder Of A Paedophile

A man has been detained on suspicion of manslaughter after a paedophile drag queen was discovered dead in an alleyway while wearing a complete stage costume.

Jeweller and convicted paedophile s*x offender Darren Moore, 39, vanished while returning from his weekly Sunday night performance at a gay bar in Cardiff. He was discovered dead in the heart of the city while still wearing his trademark fake breasts, blonde wig, and luminous yellow clothing.

According to South Wales Police, a 50-year-old local man has been detained while investigations are ongoing after being arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

Darren underwent a post-mortem examination, and additional tests are being conducted to determine the cause of his death.

Moore, aka Crystal Couture, was well-known in the LGBT scene in the UK and had worked with TV’s RuPaul.

Police have called for calm and asked people to refrain from making assumptions following reports made on social media that Darren was battered to death.

Chief Operating Officer in Cardiff, Superintendent Michelle Conquer, said: “We understand there is shock and upset in the local and wider community following the death of Darren Moore who was a well-known drag artist in Cardiff.

“Cardiff has a long and proud tradition of recognising, celebrating, and protecting equality and diversity. South Wales Police is proud to represent and protect all communities that it serves.

“Anyone who has concerns is asked to please contact us in confidence.

“While an investigation is ongoing, our Neighbourhood Policing Team as always will continue to provide a visible police presence in the city centre.”

Under his former identity of Darren Sewell, he was sentenced to three years in a young offenders’ institution as a juvenile after being found guilty of four charges of rape on a kid under the age of 16.

He was banned from coming into touch with children, but in 2011, he was found guilty of violating the restriction by teaching gymnastics and dance to kids in Cardiff.

He was given a three-year treatment program for sexual offenders, a 24-month supervision order, 300 hours of unpaid labour, and a six-month electronic tag curfew.
