Man Kidnaps His Cousin; Kills Her After She Recognizes Him

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested Abdulazeez Idris, a suspected kidnapper, for reportedly abducting and killing his 6-year-old cousin in the state’s Makarfi Local Government Area.

The deceased, Aisha Saidu, was on her way to Islamiyya school when she was taken.

The command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansur Hassan, claimed in a statement on Sunday, May 12, 2024, that the suspect slashed the girl to death with a razor blade because she recognised him.

Despite this, he made a ransom demand of N8 million via an unknown caller who identified himself as the perpetrator.

According to the PPRO, the incident took place on February 12, 2024.
