Man Kills His Girlfriend For She Rejected S*x After Fourth Rounds

The Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court in South Africa, on February 22, 2023, heard testimony from the State and the defence in a femicide case involving a 36-year-old lady who was reportedly slain by her boyfriend after declining to engage in additional intercourse with him after four rounds.

The 25-year-old Zwakele Sphephelo Mgobhozi is accused of killing Precious Pinky Yeni. He is believed to have slit the woman’s neck outside of her Amaoti, Durban, house in December 2021.

The couple is said to have been drinking together the night before the murder, and later, at the house, they shared with the deceased’s family, Mgobhozi is said to have forced Yeni to have s*x.

After forcingly engaging in four rounds of s*x, Mgobhozi began to demand more, and the couple became agitated.

It is claimed that while they were all still inside the house, Yeni’s sister Promise attempted to step in after overhearing the argument.

The State claims that Mgobhozi walked outside and got a garden rake made of iron, then came inside and whacked Yeni in the head with it, causing her to flee.

Mgobhozi allegedly pursued her and attempted to strike her with the rake once more when they were outdoors, but she deflected the blow with her arm and escaped.

Mgobhozi is accused of arming himself with a knife, pursuing her, and, when he caught up with her, stabbing her in the neck from behind before slitting her throat.

Mgobhozi, who has maintained his innocence, has been imprisoned for the duration of the case after being denied bail in January 2022.

The victim impact statement of Promise, who saw her sister killed, was read aloud during arguments.

Due to his unemployment, the sisters had allowed Mgobhozi to live at their house. Before the alleged murder, he had been residing there for roughly two months.

The couple’s child, who was 2 years old at the time of his mother’s murder, is their only child.
