Manchester City’s Rodri ‘Is Out For The Rest Of The Season’

Star midfielder Rodri of Manchester City has been “ruled out for the remainder of the season” after his team’s 2-2 tie with Arsenal resulted in a “torn cruciate ligament in his right knee”, according to reports from Spain.

The City defender “sustained a cruciate ligament tear” during Sunday’s match at Etihad Stadium, according to MARCA. The midfield player is “set to undergo tests in Spain,” according to reports, and a “more definitive diagnosis” will be released later on Monday.

Within 16 minutes of the Premier League match, the Spanish midfielder went down, holding his leg in pain, as he challenged Thomas Partey of Arsenal for the ball inside his own net.

The 28-year-old collapsed to the ground in agony before attempting to hold back tears as he staggered away from the pitch with City’s medical personnel.

MARCA claims that the Spaniard “is currently travelling to Madrid to undergo a new examination to confirm the serious injury. He also plans to visit several specialists to make a decision regarding the operation.”

His absence will be a huge loss for Manchester City, since Rodri’s impact in the team has helped them win their last four Premier League titles.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
