Manchester United And Liverpool In Battle For Mason Mount

Mason Mount, a Chelsea midfielder, could join Manchester United or Liverpool this summer, according to The Sun.

Both Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag are rumoured to be interested in signing the England midfielder this season.

Mount’s contract situation at Stamford Bridge is said to be monitored by both managers.

Manchester United And Liverpool In Battle For Mason Mount.

Over the previous few years, Mount has established himself as one of the most significant players at Stamford Bridge.

The England international has appeared in 160 games for the west London club, winning Player of the Year for the men’s squad for the past two seasons.

Despite his importance at the club, the 23-year-old is one of the team’s lowest-paid players, and new owner Todd Boehly is expected to renegotiate his contract.

According to the Sun, Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs keeping an eye on Mount’s situation at Stamford Bridge.

According to the report, Erik ten Hag has been a fan of the England midfielder since the player’s successful loan term at Vitesse in the Netherlands in 2017-18.

United has already told the players’ agents that they are interested in talking about a deal.

However, United would face stiff competition for Mount’s signing, with Liverpool and Manchester City making covert enquiries and La Liga champions Barcelona considering a move for the Chelsea academy graduate.
