After his dismissal from Paris Saint-Germain was made official on Tuesday, Mauricio Pochettino wrote an emotional parting letter to the club.
Pochettino has been eventually fired by PSG earlier today following months of rumours due to his failure to win the UEFA Champions League the previous year.
Last year, the Argentine did lead PSG to the French Ligue 1 trophy.
Christophe Galtier has succeeded the outgoing former Tottenham Hotspur head coach.
Pochettino, however, took to Instagram to comment on his one-and-a-half-year tenure at PSG.
He said, “I want to wish everyone at PSG the very best for the future – the owners, the board, the players, all the staff and the supporters.
“To Nasser [Al Khelaifi, club president] – I want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of the PSG family again.
“We are proud to finish as league champions at a club that has meant so much to me and my family, from my time here as a player and a captain, and now as a coach.
“A bientot, Mauricio.”
