Meek Mill Loses His Phone To Pickpockets In Ghana

American rapper; Meek Mills popularly known as Robert Rihmeek Williams, lost his phone to burglars in Ghana.

He revealed this on Friday in a post on his Instagram Stories to the surprise of his fans.

“They pickpocketed me for my phone SMH… Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!!,” he wrote.

As the headline performer for the Afronation concert; Mill is currently in the West African nation. The concert will also feature Nigerian multitalented singers; Burna Boy and Asake.

Mill has been seen riding a motorcycle and performing stunts while roaming the streets of Ghana.

The rapper, who was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, started his music career as a battle rapper before forming the short-lived rap group The Bloodhoundz.

The debut of Mill’s label imprint, Dream Chasers Records, named after his mixtape series, was announced in October 2012.

In 2015, he released Dreams Worth More Than Money, his second album. In 2016, he released Wins & Losses, his third album.

He received a two- to a four-year jail sentence in November 2017 for breaking his parole; however, he was released after serving five months of that sentence while his trial was ongoing.

A few hours to Christmas, Mill paid bail for 20 women with five of them released from Riverside Correctional Facility according to a press release.

“It was devastating for me to be away from my son during the holidays when I was incarcerated,” Mill, born Robert Rihmeek Williams, said.

“So I understand what these women and their families are going through. No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail,” he continued.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”

According to the press release, the advocate for criminal justice reform also offered each of the women a gift card to use for gifts or groceries.

We hope whoever stole his phone would return it.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
