Nollywood director Kazim Adeoti has talked about his marriage to actress Mercy Aigbe, saying that even before they were married, she had a profound effect on him.
Kazim stated this in an interview with Oyinmomo TV that he respects Mercy Aigbe’s directness and honesty.
He said, “What I really admire about her is her honesty and straightforwardness; it’s something I truly respect. I remember in 2011 when she starred in a film titled Hajia Jemila. After I paid her, I was already used to people complaining that the fee was too small. But in her case, she actually came back to tell me there was leftover money.
“I was genuinely shocked. At the time, many people advised me to only work closely with men if I wanted to succeed in the industry. But I decided to give her a chance, and she completely changed my perspective. She’s not only a woman but a beautiful one at that and still, she acted with so much integrity.
“Honestly, I never collected that remaining money from her, and we continued working together from there”.
Honesty is often lauded as a virtue, a cornerstone of trust and integrity.
