Championship club, Middlesbrough FC has appointed Michael Carrick as its new manager.

Carrick began working as a coach at Old Trafford for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho after his playing career ended in 2018.

Speaking on his appointment, Michael Carrick said, “I’m really excited to be here and to be part of a club with such a deep history and tradition.

He continued, “I’ll give everything to help develop the team and keep moving the club forward and make you the supporters proud.”

Carrick won five Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Europa League, two League Cups, and an FA Cup during his time as a player at United.
