More Lawsuits Filed By Astroworld Wounded Victims

It’s no longer news that nine people were killed and hundreds were injured during a “mass casualty” incident when Travis Scott was on stage last weekend. In the wake of the tragedy, lawsuits continue to mount against Scott, festival promoters Live Nation, and more.

Lawyers representing more than 200 people who claimed injuries at last week’s Astroworld festival have said they have filed another 90 lawsuits.

Civil rights attorney; Ben Crump, who is representing many Astroworld victims, revealed this at a news conference in Houston.

“We are supporting more than 200 victims of mental, physical and psychological injuries at the Astroworld Festival.”

“No one should ever die by going to a concert,” he said. “So this lawsuit is not just about getting justice for them, but about making sure the promoters and organizers know you can’t allow this to happen anytime in the future.”

The lawyers did not attach any fee to their lawsuits during their announcement.

Attorney Alex Hilliard also accused the promoters of criminal negligence by not having an emergency plan, adequate medical staff or equipment.

“We are talking about the largest organizer and promoter of festivals and concerts in the world,” Hilliard said at the briefing. “And when that happens, a failure of epic proportions on this type of scale, it’s criminal.”

His remarks came after Scott’s lawyer, Edwin MacPherson, said that the rapper “had no idea what was going on” during his set at the Astroworld festival and that the message “never got to Travis”. It never got to Travis’s crew. He’s trying to perform there, he has no ability to know what’s going on down there, especially on a larger scale.

“Travis didn’t really understand the full implications of everything, until the next morning. He didn’t know what was going on,” he said.

“Understand that when he’s on stage and has flash pods running around him, and he has an ear-monitor, blasting music and his own voice through, he can’t hear anything and he can’t see anything.”

Since the Astroworld tragedy, Scott has asked the families of those affected to be contacted via email. The statement shared by his team said: “He is distraught by the situation and would like to share his condolences and provide them with the assistance they need as soon as possible, but also to respect the wishes of each family in how they are most affected.” Want to be well. To be connected.”

This follows news that Scott Astroworld will pay for the funeral costs of the victims of the incident, and has partnered with counseling app BetterHelp to provide online therapy for those in need.

The nine people who were killed ranged in age from 14 to 27. A 9-year-old boy remains hospitalised in critical condition

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
