Motherhood: Best Moments in a Mother’s Life (4)

That First Smile and Eye Contact

Our babies are precious gifts from God., They are so tender, and so dependent. They need all the love and care we can give. And as a mum, you find yourself doing everything—feeding, bathing, rocking, cuddling, singing lullabies, trying to comfort them even when you’re exhausted.

The bond between a mother and her baby begins right from the womb, it grows deeper every single day—through those quiet moments of breastfeeding, rocking them to sleep, and softly singing into their little ears..

Then one quiet morning, probably, while breastfeeding your baby, eyes met and for the first time, your baby smiled at you…and you smiled back with eyes full of love. It’s a beautiful moment,…… That simple gaze and smile are not for the fun of it. They signify recognition as a mum, and a caregiver. A simple smile that means a lot….it reciprocates the love you have given and cherishes you for the cares also.

It also signifies bonding. It’s like your baby is saying, “I know you, and I know that I am safe with you.

And those tiny eyes, that follow your movement, study your face, and lock onto yours because you are recognized at that moment as the center of their world.

Oh yes! It’s a beautiful and unforgettable moment because it shows that your baby is growing, thriving, and beginning to love back. And so, it’s worth remembering, and celebrating.

Because from now on, every giggle, every look, every stretch of those little arms toward you is a sign: “I know you Mum, you’re doing great”.👍

And through tears and laughter, you whisper again, “Thank You, Lord, for moments like this.”

To every mum pouring out from a place of love—your sacrifices are seen, your love is felt. Keep going, you’re doing great.♥️

Do you still ember this special moments in your life? Kindly share your experience.

Bye!
