Hello, Great Mothers!
Our kids today face the adversary at every turn. Every time they log on to social media or a computer, he is watching and waiting. If we as mothers aren’t nourishing children from a godly standpoint, the devil will have his way with them. giving them mental access to temptations they lack the willpower to withstand.
Lots have been discussed on how to raise Godly children in this present time. But, why is it necessary that we raise Godly children? This is what I will be discussing in this article.
We must raise our children in a Godly way because:
1) God instructed us to do so
It is pertinent that we remember that God told us to raise our children in the ways of the Lord. God is aware of the evil that can lurk in a child’s psyche if they are not properly nurtured. God commanded parents to raise their children in the Lord’s way so that they won’t stray from it as they get older. However, it lies more on mothers to carry out this instruction because we tend to be around our kids more, because of our responsibilities.
2) it is essential to their destiny.
The future of every person is written by God. You must play your part as a mother and refrain from tampering with your children’s destiny. A good example is the story of Eli in the scripture w He was a member of the Leviticus family. His kin were bred to serve the Lord as priests. Eli rose to the level of priesthood because his father raised him in a Godly way. Eli, however, became so preoccupied once he was ordained as a priest that he neglected to bring up his kids in the ways of the Lord.
Eli’s offspring would swindle people out of their sacrifice offerings and have various women in their beds. Eli was reported to, but he did nothing about it. Eli’s children inexplicably perished because of the Lord’s wrath. Eli also dies and his household was cut off from enjoying God’s favor.
We should not be too busy to teach our children the way of the Lord.
