All mothers desire to find time to play, chat and connect with their children. But we find it hard because of our daily responsibilities. Every day is hectic for most women. As a busy mom, how can I spend quality time with my children?

In my last article, we began the discussion on how a busy mum can create quality time to spend with her children.

As a busy mum who desires to be part of her kids’ growth and development. A mom who, despite her busy schedule, would want to play with her kids, educate them about Christ, and get to know them also pays attention to what they have to say about their goals, hobbies, worries, struggles, etc. The following steps will help a busy mom create quality time to be with her kids.

1) Reconsider your daily obligations
Some tasks are negotiable and tasks some are not. Tasks that aren’t too crucial for that day are negotiable. The task that, if left undone that day, will not cost us anything. The chores that must be completed that day are non-negotiable.
Therefore, you can delegate your negotiable tasks to someone else so that you can spend more time with your kids.

2) Keep your kids out of too many extracurricular activities. The majority of mothers experience peer pressure to enroll their kids in extracurricular activities like athletics, dance, and music lessons. These tasks shouldn’t be overdone, even though they are necessary. By engaging them in fewer outdoor activities, you create quality time to spend with them.

Is it worth these efforts? Yes, the sacrifices are worthwhile because they show how much you genuinely care about and love your kids. And also, desire to be involved in their growth and development.
