My Visit To Obasanjo Was Not About Politics – Atiku

Speaking about his visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Atiku Abubakar stated that it was not a political visit.

Before the 2027 election, rumors of a possible coalition were raised by news of Atiku’s meeting with Obasanjo.

After the encounter, he told reporters at around 2:17 p.m. that he had only called his former boss as a courtesy. Atiku made it clear that he was not prepared to talk politics and that his visit had nothing to do with the 2027 election.

“I am here on a courtesy call. I am not here to talk politics.

“I was not in Abeokuta to see Obasanjo because of 2027,” he stated, describing the meeting as purely “a courtesy visit”.

“It is a courtesy visit. I’m not going to talk about 2027 or politics. I’m not here because of 2027,” he stated.
