The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has sacked Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo as the Lagos chairman.

Recall that in March this year, MC Oluomo was suspended indefinitely as the Lagos chairman of the NURTW over allegations of insubordination and misconduct bordering on inciting members of the union against the national body.

MC Oluomo after his suspension announced his withdrawal from the body.

In a statement released today titled ‘Dissolution of Lagos State Administrative Council.’, and signed by its National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, and General Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u, the National Administrative Council of the union said the decision was based on the provisions of the union’s constitution.

“MC Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last night. We have replaced him. His earlier withdrawal from the union holds no ground. That’s unacceptable to us,” a national officer said

The union has announced Seyi Bankole as the new head of the union in Lagos state.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
