As Nigeria proudly marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, His Royal Highness, High Chief Dele Omosehin, the Lisa of Osooro Kingdom and convener of the Asejere Progressive Movement, is rallying the nation behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambitious reform agenda. His heartfelt message emphasizes the need for prayers, patience, and unwavering patriotism as the country navigates these transformative changes.
In a moment of reflection and renewed commitment, Chief Omosehin invited all Nigerians to stand strong in unity, highlighting that while reform may come with its share of challenges, it ultimately paves the way for sustainable growth. “Every reform carries its burdens, but remember—there’s always light at the end of the tunnel,” he urged. “What Nigeria needs right now is not despair, but collective resolve, support, and a willingness from every citizen to play their part in our nation’s progress.”
He underscored the importance of patriotism, noting that building our nation is a collective responsibility. “We don’t need to wait for the perfect moment to make a difference. The small actions we take for our neighbors, communities, and states can lead to a monumental transformation for Nigeria,” he asserted.
Addressing President Tinubu’s reforms, Chief Omosehin highlighted the increased allocations to states, encouraging citizens to rally behind their governors to maximize these resources for the benefit of ordinary Nigerians. “The federal government is playing its role, but true development hinges on how well states and communities utilize these opportunities to uplift lives,” he pointed out.
Using this important occasion, Chief Omosehin reasserted his dedication to grassroots empowerment. His efforts include supporting young entrepreneurs, offering scholarships, and facilitating community development initiatives. Notably, he recently announced a partnership with Bimbeads Concepts to launch a training program aimed at equipping women and girls in Okitipupa and Irele Federal Constituency with invaluable jewelry-making skills, mentorship, and market access.
Looking ahead, he is also organizing the BOF Unity Cup set for January 4, designed to nurture peace, unity, and talent among the youth. “When young individuals are engaged through skills, sports, or opportunities, they become driving forces for national progress,” he explained.
In his stirring Independence Day message, Chief Omosehin prayed for unity, peace, and prosperity to flourish across Nigeria. He reaffirmed his dedication to collaborating with like-minded leaders and institutions to ensure Okitipupa, Irele, and Ondo State actively contribute to Nigeria’s revitalization story.
“The challenges we face are numerous; yet, the opportunities that lie ahead are even greater. With faith in God, a shared commitment to support President Tinubu’s vision, and a collective drive for progress, Nigeria is destined to rise to its full potential,” he concluded.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
