Nigerian Army Dismisses Soldier Over Armed Robbery

The Nigerian Army has discharged Lance Corporal Samuel Emmanuel due to his alleged participation in armed robbery.

He was removed from service following a court-martial at the 16 Brigade Garrison during the week, after his arrest for armed robbery.

A memo issued by the army confirmed that Emmanuel has been transferred to the Nigerian Police Force for legal prosecution.

“Lance Corporal Samuel Emmanuel, serving under the 16 Brigade Garrison, has been officially dismissed from the Nigerian Army following his involvement in a case of armed robbery,” the memo reads.

“Following an exhaustive investigation and military proceedings, he was found guilty and subsequently discharged from the Regiment.
“The Nigerian Army upholds a strict zero-tolerance stance against indiscipline and criminal conduct.

“All personnel are required to adhere to the highest levels of conduct, professionalism, and integrity — without exception.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
