Nigerians Are Not Benefitting From Your Reforms – Gov Bala tells FG

Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi state, claims that the Tinubu administration’s monetary policies are not functioning since Nigerians are hungry and suffering.

On Thursday, October 17, Governor Bala spoke at the opening of the Nigeria Development Update in Abuja.

He argued that numerous economic policies have had a negative impact on Nigerians’ economic well-being, creating a combustible climate in which persons of his class may be lynched by dissatisfied Nigerians.

“When the reforms started, the sub-nationals supported the President. But now, the macroeconomic policies causing inflation need to be reconsidered. There is hunger, people are suffering, and Nigerians are not benefitting from these reforms.”

In his remarks, the governor noted that Nigerians’ purchasing power had been substantially diminished.

“What are you doing to reduce hunger? We must help the people cope. The purchasing power of the people has drastically diminished. My brother Cardoso, these policies are not working. They need to be reviewed. Let’s not resort to blackmail.”

Addressing the subject of electricity, the governor stated: “What about power? The tariffs are so high that people cannot afford to pay. We are on the brink of being lynched. These policies are not working. We must review them.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
