Nigerians have taken to Twitter to discuss some of the “dumbest reasons” why their partners left them during their relationship
The story-telling started when a Twitter user asked “What is the dumbest reason why someone broke up with you?”
Many Nigerians chimed in with their different stories.
One user tweeted: “My own wife said ‘things are not well with me so she staying with her mum till things come back to normal the next thing my schnapps was brought back to me.”
Another user said, “I caught him cheating, I forgave him and told him we should work things out. Days later he told me he can’t be with me, he doesn’t deserve me that I’m too good for him.”
A third person said, “She said I wasn’t manly because l ask for consent a lot, even when I can clearly see she’s in the mood. And when I ask her and she says nothing, I do her nothing. She wants me to take her forcefully. Women are weird.”
A user claimed his partner left him “for not beating her up.”
A man said he was abandoned because “I cried because of a football team, but had never cried because of her.”
Another man claimed he was left “for not giving her money the way she expected.”
Finally, one user said, “She told me she cheated with her ex. Went to visit him after church. They only romanced but no sex. Apologized and I let go. Later she came telling me she’s sorry her guilty conscience won’t let her so we should break up. I’m too good and deserve better.”
