During the ongoing Miss World 2026 competition, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, Nigeria’s representative and reigning Miss World Nigeria, has been honored with the title of Africa’s Top Model.
Competing against a diverse field from 140 countries in the 73rd edition of the Miss World pageant, which commenced on August 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Karibi-George distinguished herself among contestants from Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria.
Her outstanding performance earned her the prestigious Africa Top Model accolade, automatically advancing her into the Top 40 quarterfinal stage of the competition—one of the ten spots reserved for Africa.
The organizers of Miss World Nigeria proudly celebrated her achievement, describing it as a moment of national pride.
