Nigeria defeated Iran 2-1 on Friday in a friendly international match. The Super Eagles’ goals came from Moses Simon and Akor Adams.
Simon scored the first goal for Eric Chelle’s team in the seventh minute with help from Samuel Chukwueze. Ademola Lookman set up Akor Adams to increase the Super Eagles’ lead in the 52nd minute.
In the 67th minute, Iran’s Mehdi Taremi drew one back, but Nigeria held on to win. As part of Nigeria’s preparations for forthcoming matches, Coach Eric Chelle will be able to test combinations and hone the team before competitive games.
In March 31, the Super Eagles will play an international friendly against the Jordan national football team.
