No Plan To Destroy Uncollected Permanent Voter Cards – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said in a statement issued on Sunday, January 5, that it has no plans to destroy uncollected permanent voter cards (PVCs).

An online report had suggested that the electoral commission intended to destroy six million uncollected PVCs.

The electoral body called the report “false” and urged the public to disregard it.

“Our attention has been drawn to a newspaper report that the Commission is contemplating the destruction of over six million uncollected Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) going back to the 2015 voter registration.

“The report is incorrect. At no time did the Commission contemplate the destruction of uncollected PVCs. The public is advised to discountenance the story.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
