Nollywood Actor, Chief Kanran Passes On

Veteran Nollywood actor, Olusegun Akinremi, fondly known as Chief Kanran, has died at the age of 70.

The news was confirmed on Friday by movie producer, Seun Oloketuyi, who announced on Instagram that the popular actor passed away earlier in the day.

“Popular actor Segun Remi popularly known as Chief Kanran died Friday morning,” he wrote,

Chief Kanran was a well-known face in the Yoruba film industry, celebrated for his unique acting style, charm, sharp sense of humour, and powerful performances that made him a favourite on stage and in movies for many years.

Our heartfelt sympathies goes out to the entertainment industry and his immediate family. Wishing you all comfort and peace in the days ahead.
