Lionel Messi Equals Cristiano Ronaldo’s World Cup Goals.

Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, on Tuesday matched one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s records after scoring for his team in a 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Messi scored his first Qatar World Cup goal in less than 10 minutes to the start of the match.

The 35-year-old converted an early penalty to a goal in Argentina’s World Cup Group C opening against Saudi Arabia, after Saud Abdulhamid fouled midfielder Leandro Paredes in the penalty area.

With his goal against Saudi Arabia, Messi who plays for Paris Saint-Germain became the fifth player in history (behind Pele, Uwe Seeler, Miroslav Klose, and Ronaldo) to score in four different World Cup competitions.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo also scored for Portugal against Ghana in a 3-2 win but didn’t hold the record too long as Messi equalled his goals again after scoring against Mexico.

Messi scored his 93rd goal for Argentina in international competitions with the opening goal against Mexico.

The former captain of Barcelona has now scored goals against 35 different national teams, including Bolivia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Estonia, and Venezuela.

Manchester United Terminates Ronaldo’s Contract And Puts Club Up For Sale.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United has been terminated “with immediate effect,” according to the club.

The action against the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner was disclosed in a brief statement on their social media accounts.

The club said, “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford.”

This comes after Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Pier Morgan, where he accused Manchester United’s owners, the Glazers, of caring less for the club and stated that he has no respect for Erik ten Hag, the club’s manager.

Hours after disclosing the sack of the Portuguese international, the club announced that Manchester United is now up for sale.

Following the announcement, Manchester United’s share price increased by 17% right away, raising the club’s market capitalization by nearly $400 million, according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire.

The club said in a statement: “Manchester United plc (NYSE:MANU), one of the most successful and historic sports clubs in the world, announces today that the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”) is commencing a process to explore strategic alternatives for the club.

“The process is designed to enhance the club’s future growth, with the ultimate goal of positioning the club to capitalize on opportunities both on the pitch and commercially.

“As part of this process, the Board will consider all strategic alternatives, including new investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions involving the Company. This will include an assessment of several initiatives to strengthen the club, including stadium and infrastructure redevelopment, and expansion of the club’s commercial operations on a global scale, each in the context of enhancing the long-term success of the club’s men’s, women’s and academy teams, and bringing benefits to fans and other stakeholders.”

Premier League Club Seeking To Acquire Super Eagles’ Chukwueze In January.

Aston Villa, a Premier League team, is reportedly firm in its pursuit of Samuel Chukwueze, a Super Eagles player and Villarreal winger.

Former Villarreal coach, Unai Emery, who is now the manager of Aston Villa, is reportedly seeking to bring the Nigerian international to England.

The winger, who has previously been sought for by Chelsea and Liverpool, is someone Emery is eager to reconnect with.

Aston Villa are prepared to spend €40 million to hire the quick attacker, according to Football Insider via TMW.

It is reported that Villarreal might be persuaded to sell Chukwueze during the January transfer window.

In 2017, the Yellow Submarine paid €500,000 to acquire the player from Diamond Football Academy.

The 23-year-old was reportedly on the verge of signing a deadline-day loan deal with Everton last summer, however, vital points in the negotiations fell through.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a former forward for Manchester United, helped Portugal defeat Ghana 3-2 to write another chapter in history.

The 37-year-old is now the first player to ever score in five different men’s World Cup competitions.

In their World Cup opener against Ghana, Portugal took the lead from the penalty spot in the second half thanks to the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward.

The legendary footballer was one of the five individuals who had scored in four different World Cups prior to the game on Thursday.

The other four are Pele from Brazil, Germany’s Miroslav Klose and Uwe Seeler, and Argentina’s Lionel Messi.

However, with his goal against Ghana, Ronaldo became the first player to score in five World Cups, making him a historic player.

Mikel Obi revealed that he has always preferred Lionel Messi over the 37-year-old Portugal International.

The former Chelsea Midfielder said this in an interview with Dubai Eye following Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United has been terminated last week, making him a free agent at the moment.

Mikel Obi said in the interview, “I’ve never been a Ronaldo fan really.

Lionel Messi’s Destination After PSG Revealed.

Lionel Messi, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, is expected to make a shocking transfer to Inter Miami.

The MLS team is confident that Messi will formally switch teams as a free agent and become the highest-paid athlete in US soccer history.

The 35-year-old, whose salary is reportedly around £1.2 million per week, would sacrifice his enormous payment at Inter, a team that is co-owned by former Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham.

He would, however, earn significantly more than any other player in American football’s history.

Messi owns a property in Miami and is rumoured to visit frequently on vacation.

The club is already looking for players who will fit Messi’s playing style, and former Barcelona teammates Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas are two names they are considering.

Former United player, Phil Neville is the manager of Inter Miami and has just extended his contract.

Messi’s current contract with PSG will expire in June 2023.
