NYSC Confirms Corps Members Will Be Paid N77,000 From March 2025

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has promised Corps Members that their monthly stipend will rise to ₦77,000 beginning in March 2025.

During a discussion with Corps Members on Thursday, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, affirmed that the disbursement will start as scheduled.

The gathering, which took place at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja, tackled worries regarding the postponed rollout of the stipend hike. Brigadier General Nafiu underscored the dedication of both the NYSC and the Federal Government to the well-being of Corps Members.

“With effect from March, you will receive Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira as your monthly allowance. NYSC is efficient in record-keeping, and I assure you that your payments will be made. The nation and the Scheme appreciate you,” he declared.

He urged Corps Members to stay calm and committed to their duties. Brigadier General Nafiu commended the foresight of the NYSC’s original founders and appealed for ongoing backing from all involved parties.

He emphasized the NYSC’s contribution to fostering national cohesion and embedding principles like patriotism and collaboration. Brigadier General Nafiu conveyed thanks for the Corps Members’ steadfastness and reaffirmed the country’s gratitude for their efforts.

NYSC participant Zaka Deborah Alheri, identified by call number FC/24A/5831, represented her peers at the Garki Zone and expressed appreciation to the Director General for his work in guaranteeing that the payment would at last come to fruition.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
