Wike, Ortom, Seyi Makinde, Other Refuse To Attend PDP’s Campaign Committee Inauguration.

Governors close to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike were absent from the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) ceremonial inauguration of its Presidential Campaign Council on Wednesday due to the unsettled disagreement within the party.

Gov Wike has been at odds with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, as the Rivers State governor says Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman must step down.

Wike previously threatened that it seems they (The party leaders) are not interested in winning the 2023 election and he will help them if that is the case.

Now, during the inauguration of the campaign committee held on Wednesday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, some key stakeholders of the PDP, known to be friends with Governor Wike, were absent.

Among those who did not attend were Benue State’s governor Samuel Ortom, Oyo State’s governor Seyi Makinde, Enugu State’s governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Abia State’s Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, and Wike himself.

However, the remaining PDP governors who back Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate were present.

Festus Keyamo Allegedly Posts 2019 Rally Video As A Recent Event.

Festus Keyamo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council’s spokesperson, has come under fire from Nigerians as a result of a video he posted.

The state minister for labor and employment tweeted a video of a rally he said took place in one town in Kogi.

Keyamo captioned the video: “We showed them how to do a proper march today in just one town in Kogi; no borrowed crowd; everyone here has a PVC (go and verify ). This is organised by proper ‘structures’, not ‘keypad activists’! Gradually, we shall separate the boys from the men!”

Soon after Keyamo posted the video, Nigerians called him a liar, claiming it was a fake. Many people pointed out that the video was taken at Yahaya Bello’s 2019 rally in Kogi state. Some people also pointed out that the one Keyamo shared was edited.

Obi-dients Hold Country-Wide Rallies On October 1st.

On Saturday, October 1st, Nigerians found more joy in celebrating the candidacy of His Excellency Peter Obi over the independence day celebration of the nation, as they came out in thousands all over the country, to declare their support for the former governor of Anambra State.

The supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as obi-dients, were present on the streets of Lagos, Osun, Edo, Delta, Kaduna, Abia, Bauchi, Awka Ibom and even London and New York.

Lagos State had rallies at 4 different locations, pulling a massive crowd in all gatherings.

In response to the mega rallies, Peter Obi tweeted on his official Twitter page, thanking his supporters for the love and effort they have shown in the movement for “a new Nigeria.”

He wrote, “Dear OBIdients, today will go down in history as a day Nigerians spoke with one united voice; the message is clear and simple – A NEW NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE!

“From Lagos, Bauchi, Benin City, Warri, Osogbo, Kaduna, Uyo, Aba, London, New York and many more.

“OBIdients made a bold statement with generally very peaceful rallies. The very young, and old men and women in their millions marched in solidarity and in support of our collective vision of a New Nigeria. I salute Nigerian Youths.

“I thank you all most sincerely, for your passion, resolve and resiliency. You have shown the world that Nigeria is ready for change and that the majority are ready to lead the way. Thank you all for the sacrifices. Our labours shall never be in vain and there is no stopping us now.

“May Almighty God bless you all and bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. – PO”
