Taiwo Hassan, better known by his stage name as Ogogo, is a veteran Yoruba actor in Nollywood who has spoken out about a strange disease that left him mentally and physically exhausted for seven years.
The iconic actor disclosed in an interview on Oyinmomo TV that he had to pray while seated because of his feeble state and that for several months he was only able to eat pap, a light cornmeal porridge.
He characterized the seven-year illness as one of the most terrible events of his life.
“For a good seven years, I prayed while sitting, and I couldn’t eat anything except pap. It was a terrible period of my life,” he recounted.
“When I started collecting different kinds of treatments and going from place to place, I thanked both men and women. The only thing I couldn’t do then was go to locations often, and I never sold any properties.”
