Omokri Urges Men To Seek A Worthy Partner, Not A Burden

Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant, has advised men against marrying women who see them only as money makers, stressing the value of selecting a life partner who helps create a future together.

Omokri urged men to look for women who enrich their lives in a social media post, making a distinction between a “buddy” and a “burden” in a marriage.

Omokri wrote, “Dear men, marry a woman who wants a husband and life partner. Not one who wants a financier for her expensive lifestyle, someone to look after her parents and siblings, and someone to put all her future demands on. You need a contributor in your life, not someone whose only ambition after marriage is to be a distributor of your wealth, which she did not contribute to building. That’s the difference between marrying a buddy and wedding a burden”.

He added, “It is not the best idea to marry someone who makes you happy. Happiness depends on happenings and, therefore, is not stable. Instead, marry someone who adds value to you. Value lasts and can lead to joy, which is a stable form of contentment. It is easy to be happy with a girl you don’t see all the time. But when you marry her, and she moves in with you, her lack of value addition will soon become obvious and tends to quickly erase whatever happiness she brings to you”.
