Adams Oshiomhole, an incumbent senator and former governor, and his opponent, Senator Joe Ikpea, easily won the All Progressives Congress senatorial primary in Edo and secured their tickets without receiving a single vote against them.
Additionally, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama won the Edo South senatorial district’s APC primary.
Muhammed Ajana, the chairman of the APC National Assembly Primary Election, announced the results at Urokpota Hall in Benin, and Ogbeide-Ihama emerged victorious in the seven local government areas of Edo South.
He received 27,154 votes, compared to 13,580 for Senator Neda Imasuen and 6785 for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
