Osun Election: Davido Drops Prayer Point For Buhari After His Uncle’s Victory

Ademola Adeleke, an uncle of the musician and a former senator, defeated Gboyega Oyetola, the sitting governor of Osun State.

The candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 403,371 votes, while the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 375,027.

Following the voting in 3,763 polling units, Ademola triumphed in 17 of the state’s 30 local government areas.

President Muhammadu Buhari reacted to the results, saying he was “fully committed to leaving behind a legacy of credible elections in Nigeria.”

The artist had a significant impact on the 2022 campaign, just as he had in 2018 when Adeleke lost to Oyetola.

Davido, his supporters, other Adeleke sons, and friends went to rallies and canvassed the state to promote his uncle, Ademola Adeleke.
