Paul Pogba Receives Offer From Russia After Four-Year Ban

Paul Pogba, who was suspended for four years for doping, has been offered a contract to play in Russia.

After a string of injuries, the French midfielder, who is contesting the doping rulings, is going to end his second season with Juventus at the age of just 30.

A team from Russia’s celebrity-hosted league, Broke Boys, has reportedly expressed serious interest, and joining them would be the best way for him to rebuild his faith in football, according to Tuttosport.

The Media Football League, a league with teams comprised of celebrities ranging from actors to influencers, was established in 2022.

Artjom Chatjaturjan, the sporting director of Broke Boys, has stated that he is committed to getting the World Cup champion and disclosed that he has spoken with Pogba.

“It may seem like a joke, but we called him.” He told Tuttosport. “So far he has politely refused. He is in a desperate moment and needs time to accept it, Pogba is one of the best footballers in the world and won’t be able to play for that long.”

The club’s president, in fact, issued a letter to the French midfielder and his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, proposing a monthly salary of £1,167 ($1500) and some incentives if Pogba agreed to travel to Russia and join his squad.

The contract would include ‘luxury’ accommodation in Odintsovo, which would not be shared with other players.

Pogba will be out of football till he is 35 years old.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
