Peggy Ovire, Frederick Leonard’s Wife, Criticized Kiekie for Saying Women Should Pay Their Husband’s Bills

Frederick Leonard’s wife, Peggy Ovire, criticized Kiekie for advising married women to split bills with their husbands.

Kiekie’s controversial interview sparked backlash after the media pointed out that she cannot live in a house where she does not pay rent and must also support her husband financially and on the other hand.

The comedian, who married Shonaola Ilori in February 2020, made the statement during a podcast hosted by media personality Toke Makinwa.

According to Kiekie, it’s in a woman’s best interest to share bills with her husband because it eases the burden of living expenses.

However, on Instagram, Nollywood actor Fredrick Leonard’s wife, Peggy, dissed the comedian and said Kiekie should admit that she makes more money than her husband, which is why she Share bills. According to Peggy Ovire, her husband did not allow her to pay any bills, saying she had to watch the house and be there in case of emergencies.

She wrote; “Just say you earn more than your husband, Kikie, then bill sharing is a Must. It is my husband’s responsibility to pay the bills especially since he can afford it, mine is to take care of the home & be there for Emergency cases. My man won’t even let me pay jack”.

Please your thoughts with me on the issue of splitting bills between husband and wife.
