Pitbulls Murder Owner’s 10-Year-Old Son

A 10-year-old boy, Storm Nuku, was killed by his family’s two Pitbulls in Gqeberha, Cape Town, South Africa.

The boy was mauled by the dogs on Monday afternoon, September 26, 2022, according to a statement released on Tuesday by Colonel Priscilla Naidu, a spokesperson for the Eastern Cape police.

The victim and two other kids were in their home when the attack occurred, according to Naidu, who also noted that the boy passed away on the spot due to his wounds.

When the police arrived at the scene, they shot both dogs dead at the house.

According to Naidu, “We were forced to shoot and kill both dogs, an inquest docket will be opened for further investigation.

“At this stage, it is unclear what had happened when the two dogs turned on the boy. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Two other children were found in the house when police arrived, and were unharmed.”

The 10-year-old grandfather, Wayne Nuku, wrote a touching Facebook post in which he expressed how much he would miss the boy.

It read, “RIP my Storm. God knows the best. We will surely miss you. You did call me back last week. You said, ‘Oupa are you not going to see me?’ Little did I know it was your last kiss. Rest softly my angel child, my heart is broken.”

As a result of the incident, the Sizwe Kupelo Foundation demanded that Pitbulls not be kept as domestic pets in South Africa.

The foundation said, “We cannot continue losing young people like Storm Nuku to these vicious dogs that have shown time and again that they should not be kept as pets.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
