Nigerian street musician, Portable has apologized to his colleague, Davido, for making disparaging remarks about the musician during the governorship campaign and election in Osun state in July 2022.
Remember that Davido campaigned for his uncle, the election winner Ademola Adeleke, while Portable backed the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, with both musicians performing at their preferred candidate’s campaign rallies.
As a result of their conflict of interest, Davido unfollowed Portable on all social media platforms.
This did not sit well with Portable, who responded with a video in which he made sarcastic remarks about Davido, whom many regards as his elder in the industry.
Portable said, “Open your ears and listen. My father is not a rich man. I am glory. I am the one who made my family rich. Support who supports you. They ran to unfollow us.”
The disagreement between them may soon be resolved as the Onitigbo of Tigbo-Ilu Land in Ogun State, Oba Olabode Thomas-Fagbayi, made Portable apologized to Davido.
The monarch who recently bestowed a chieftaincy title on Portable was seen in a viral video telling the musician to apologize to Davido, referring to the superstar as Portable’s senior.
Portable then took the microphone and apologized to Davido.
