However, President Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad, denied the rumored medical trip in a tweet on Saturday, claiming that President Buhari was in Abuja and had no plans to fly to London.

In the Twitter post, Ahmad wrote, “The news going round that President Muhammadu Buhari has embarked on a 20-day vacation trip to London is FAKE. The President is in Abuja and he is not planning to embark on any trip to London.”

The news that the President was leaving the country on another medical trip drew a lot of attention as the Nigerians are faced with a national power outage following the recent collapse of the national grip.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
