President Appoints Walson-Jack As Head Of Civil Service

The appointment of Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the head of the Federation’s civil service was approved by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.

According to Ajuri Ngelale, a spokesperson for the president, the appointment will go into effect on August 14, 2024.

“Mrs. Walson-Jack was appointed Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 and has served in several Ministries.

“The new appointee will take over from the incumbent Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, who is due to retire on August 13, 2024,” Ngelale said in a statement.

After expressing gratitude to the departing Head of Service for her leadership, President Tinubu assigned the new Head of Service the responsibility of carrying out her duties with creativity, honesty, and strict observance of the current Federal Civil Service Act.

Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment! Wishing you all the best in your new role.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
