“Come in the name of peace, come with Ukrainian symbols to support Ukraine, to support freedom, life.

“Come to your squares and streets, make yourself visible and heard,” Zelensky said in a video message early Thursday.

“Say that people matter, freedom matters, Ukraine matters.”

He claimed that Russia began a war against the freedom of Ukraine.

He went on to say that Moscow was attempting to suppress the freedom of all people in Europe and the rest of the world.

He said, “For that reason, I ask you to stand against the war starting from March 24, exactly one month after the Russian invasion.”

The Russian attacks resumed near the besieged city of Izyum, according to a daily update released on Facebook early Thursday by Ukrainian generals.

A great bulk of Ukrainian units were under fire in the eastern Donetsk region, according to the generals.

According to the report, Russian bombardment activities in neighboring Luhansk, were centered on the cities of Rubizhne (60,000 people), Severodonetsk (100,000 people), and Popasna (20,000 people).

Russian artillery bombardment was recorded on Kalynivka, Horinka, Romanovka, and the north-eastern districts of Kyiv, as combat actions continued in the north of the country.

The Ukrainian military is said to have intercepted Russian troops in Brovary, a Kyiv suburb.

The Russian soldiers failed to break through Ukrainian lines to reach the northwestern outskirts of Kyiv, according to the report.
