The diocese of Boston was blessed with Seven new priests on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at The Cathedral Of The Holy Cross, Washington street, Boston, MA.

Candidates for the priesthood ordination are Maxwell Uzoma Chukwudiebere, Joseph Anthony Ferme IV, Patrick Francis .O. Connor, Bertrand Lionel Proulx, Steven Restrepo, Nathaniel Albert Sanders, and Nicholas Henry Stano.

The newly ordained priests who are called to serve as ministers of Christ among the people of God went through the ‘Imposition of hands and the Invocation Of the Holy Spirit by His Eminence Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley, OFM Cap; The Archbishop of Boston.

The ordination which started at 10 am was attended by family, friends, and brother priests who filled the Cathedral in their hundreds for the Mass.

The Principal Celerant & Homilist; His Eminence Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley, urged the newly ordained priests to live a holy life worthy of a priest of God and beckoned on the faithful to pray always for the priests.

Rev . Maxwell did put in all effort, dedication, energy, and sacrifice necessary to achieve this feat. Congratulation Padre!

As practicing Catholics, we all know that the Rite of Ordination is what makes one a priest of the Most High God. Becoming a priest is worth it as it is the only irreplaceable and indispensable vocation in the world.

Rev. Fr. Maxwell will hold his first Holy Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, 22nd of May, at St. John The Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop, Massachusetts.

“The Word of God is at work in you who believe.” You took the right step by saying yes to serve humanity in the footstep of Jesus Christ.
