Primate Elijah Ayodele Warns Atiku About The G-5 Governors

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader and founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has asked Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to bend to negotiations with the group headed by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

The PDP’s internal strife, according to Primate Ayodele, will harm Atiku’s chances of winning the 2023 presidential election.

The man of God urged Atiku not to disregard the party’s five present governors because their resentment would harm his chances.

Primate Ayodele said in a statement: ‘’As for Atiku, he should humble himself and still persuade Wike.

“He can turn whatever is bad in Wike to good. He shouldn’t ignore these five governors because their annoyance can jeopardize his victory.

“He needs to re-strategize. He should ignore whoever asks him to neglect the governors.’’

Atiku and the PDP hierarchy have been the target of resentment from the Wike-led Integrity group.

The Integrity group is pushing for equity and fairness in the party’s zoning of leadership seats.

They are against the PDP’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu and presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, both coming from the North.

The group, which consists of the governors of Rivers, Oyo, Benue, Abia, and Enugu, want the PDP National Chairman position to be assigned to the South.
