PSG Reportedly In Talks To Fire Its Manager, Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is expected to be fired less than 24 hours after winning the Ligue 1 title.

This comes after PSG was crowned champions on Saturday, April 23 after a 1-1 draw against Lens.

Even with helping the French champions win the league, Pochettino and his players have been the subject of intense scrutiny since their Champions League last-16 defeat.

PSG Reportedly In Talks To Fire Its Manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

The previous Tottenham manager was in the discussion to replace Ralf Rangnick as Manchester United manager, but the Red Devils chose Erik ten Hag, who will take over from him in the summer.

According to Le Parisien, the Ajax manager taking over at Old Trafford has left Pochettino in a precarious position, as he is set to become a free agent this summer. PSG are currently holding talks on the terms of his departure.

According to the source, Pochettino no longer wishes to work for the French giants, and the club does not want the Argentine to remain as manager.

PSG will reportedly have to pay £12.6 million to terminate Pochettino and his coaching staff, all of whom have one year left on their contracts.

According to the French daily, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is open to a two-year deal in Paris.
